Subiaco Academy guides young men in cultivating a passion for learning and service, in growing their confidence and courage, and in becoming men of self-discipline and prayer.
Our mission exists because of the Catholic Benedictine community of Subiaco Abbey. Just as we strive to guide young men, we are guided, sponsored and inspired by the monastic community. They teach us that our mission exists so that God may be glorified in our work and in the people that we serve. We in turn, strive to develop young men who will glorify God by living out the values taught here at Subiaco.
We pursue this mission by creating experiences that allow for each young man to practice Benedictine values and grow in maturity and wisdom. Truly, practice makes perfect, so, through our residential, academic, athletic and extracurricular programs, we continually challenge the young men entrusted to us to accurately assess and appreciate their abilities, to persevere through trials, and to practice prayer and self-discipline.
Our families, our parishes, and our nations need men who have a passion for learning and service, who exhibit confidence and courage and who are adept at self-discipline and prayer. We intend to cultivate these values in the boys entrusted to us in order to enhance their lives and to change the world for the better.
