We have a new wall on the Hill, and it has a name! It is called a Kilter Board. Along with the new Kilter Board, we are adding a Trojan Rock Climbing team to the Hill! The team will compete for the American Scholastic Climbing League.
The Kilter Board raises the bar for climbing training. It is a portable wall that adjusts its angle. The unique adjustable, free-standing frame is a creation of aeronautical engineers turned climbing wall designers and manufacturers. Using electronic actuators, the wall changes angle with the push of a button, and has several features for user safety. Another innovation is the entire base perimeter of each hold lights up, making them easy to see from any climbing position. This is a game-changer for climbing training boards.
With this new addition, our Rock Climbing team can make the most out of the small training space, and will have access to 1000s of programmed problems (bouldering routes). This will allow many Subi men to enjoy high levels of rock climbing here on campus, and train to be competitive as a team.
Student-athlete and award-winning climber, Sophomore Ben Stevens, Class of 2027, has been the driving force for the creation of this team, and is a committed advocate for the sport. His enthusiasm is contagious and has successfully created much interest in this corner of athletics.

Students in Foundations of Catholic Morality Honors re-enact a dialogue between Socrates and his dear friend, Eudiamon, discussing the virtue and ethics of happiness!
A perfect day out with the 9th grade! The guys were very engaged in the discussion on Benedict's chapter of the Rule focused on the daily labor. We talked about the dignity of work well done. We Hiked the Devil's Den main trail after lunch.
