Christina Stengel has a long history with Subiaco Abbey and Academy. For the past eight years she has been serving as the Event Coordinator in the Abbey's Development office. We are pleased to announce that Ms. Stengel will change her role in the Subiaco community this fall as the Academy's art instructor. Ms. Stengel comes to us with a Bachelor of science in Hospitality Administration, and a Master of Arts and Teaching from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas. With 30 years as an award-winning artist, Ms. Stengel will enhance our fine arts program with her imaginative and gifted artistic talent. Her years of dedication of volunteer service as an action photographer for the academy athletics department show her devotion and spirit of giving when it comes to the Subiaco community. We are confident that she will inspire her students to explore dynamic and innovative artistic expressions. In her spare time, Ms. Stengel enjoys painting, sewing, watching the Arkansas Razorbacks, and cheering on her husband and son at mountain bike races. She was raised in an Air Force family in Jacksonville, Arkansas, and now resides in Paris, Arkansas with her husband Brian and son Alex. She and her family are members of St. Anthony Church in Ratcliff, Arkansas. The Stengel family has many Subiaco alumni members, and Ms. Stengel is proud of her father-in- law (Class of 1964), husband (Class of 1995), and son, a current student and will graduate with the Class of 2026.
Welcome to Subiaco Academy, Christina Stengel. We look forward to having you in this new role!

We are pleased to announce that Mr. Colton Ketter will join the Subiaco Academy community this fall as an English instructor and an athletics coach. Mr. Ketter comes to us with a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Newman University in Wichita, Kansas. He has spent the last two years in Catholic Campus Ministry and Faith Formation, and the three years before that as a seminarian for the Diocese of Little Rock at the House of Formation. Mr. Ketter loves sports, especially football and hockey, and he also enjoys collecting and reading comic books. A native of Charleston, Arkansas, Mr. Ketter and his wife, Tarah, are members of Sacred Heart Church in Charleston, and look forward to welcoming their first child in July 2024. They are expecting a son, and plan to name him Stanley, in honor of Blessed Stanley Rother. One thing that Mr. Ketter is looking forward to at Subiaco is "helping students grow closer to Christ in the classroom and in extracurricular activities. "
Welcome to the Subiaco family!

It is a program designed for high school sophomores, who then return to their respective schools and use the skills from the seminar and develop other leaders in the school at the same time. Our recent alumni reunion brought some reflection about the class of 1979, celebrating their 45th year reunion. Known to be one of the most "mischievous" groups to graduate Subi, this class also produced seven religious vocations! Proof that mothers' prayers really do work miracles!🤲

Brotherhood in every sense of the word! 🌟 As our alumni gather this weekend to enjoy fellowship and brotherhood, it brings to mind that this past school year, we were honored to have multiple sets of brothers at Subi, sharing in faith, friendship, and education together.
Family names include Kersh, Schmitz, Post, Stevens, Araujo, Wasielewski, Folson, Wu, Lamboy, Giebel, Cowell, Nehus, and Cruz.
Many other families through the years have also had multiple brothers and cousins attending at the same time. Thank you to these families for the support and sacrifice they offer to educate their sons in the Benedictine tradition at Subiaco.
Here's to the bonds that grow stronger every day!
