FAITH. SCHOLARSHIP. CHARACTER. BROTHERHOOD. At Subiaco Academy, we believe that the practice of these four words helps shape young men into the person God intended for them to become. Honor Thy Father is a 3-day giving opportunity where we ask you to support the opportunity for young men to attend Subiaco Academy. Your gift makes you IMPACTFUL in the lives of students who desire a Subiaco experience BUT who’s family may not have the means to ensure that their sons CAN become all they wish to be. Pay tribute to your own father, grandfather, or anyone who greatly influenced your life by making the gift in their honor or memory. https://alumni.subiacoacademy.us/g/honor-thy-father-2022 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THi-pDysALI

Never forget those who helped you achieve success! How many times do we ponder this statement but fail to remember the men who made sacrifices to prepare us for our own life journey-our fathers, grandfathers, religious fathers and male mentors? Your gift June 17-19 to support Subiaco Academy can be given in honor or memory of a father, grandfather, or any special person, and builds much-needed tuition assistance funding for young men desiring an education here. Persons honored or memorialized will be especially prayed for in a special Mass offered by Fr. Jerome Kodell. https://alumni.subiacoacademy.us/g/honor-thy-father-2022/ #subitrojan4life

JOURNEY TO THE GRAND CANYON: 13 hours on the road and a final day steak dinner saw the guys and their leaders back at Subiaco. The guys’ comments during a round table wrap up session made it clear that they had a very impressive experience. Some said the highlight was Grand Canyon while others liked the swimming or Chaco Cultural Center best. John Bui said his favorite part was just traveling and experiencing things together. ONWARD TROJANS!

JOURNEY TO THE GRAND CANYON: A photo was snapped with some of our Trojans at Mather Point in the Grand Canyon. Set just inside the south entrance to the park, Mather Point often serves as introduction to the Canyon. This was a sunset befitting a glorious day in the Canyon. Keep our guys in your ongoing prayers. ONWARD TROJANS.

JOURNEY TO THE GRAND CANYON: Our guys got up early to catch the 4 am bus. They had to deal with some major wind at the "Ooh Aah Point" which is a viewpoint located 600 feet below the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. It is part of the South Kaibab trail, a 6.3 mile hike which descends 4,800 feet from the Rim. Some of them were a little underdressed for the weather as the wind can really kick up quickly. This hike and outdoor experience typify what the early monks expected of the students back in 1887 when they would have major hikes 3-4 times each week. Its good to see the Trojans experiencing the beauty of nature. Keep our guys in your ongoing prayers. ONWARD TROJANS.

JOURNEY TO THE GRAND CANYON: Our Trojans continue their journey to the Grand Canyon with a visit to the Chaco Culture National Historical Park (Pueblo Bonita and Pueblo Alto). The park is located in northwestern New Mexico and, as Wikipedia tells us, contains “the most sweeping collection of ancient ruins north of Mexico, the park preserves one of the most important pre-Columbian cultural and historical areas in the United States. Between AD 900 and 1150, Chaco Canyon was a major center of culture for the Ancestral Puebloans… The sites are considered sacred ancestral homelands by the Hopi and Pueblo people.” Keep our guys in your ongoing prayers. JOURNEY TO THE GRAND CANYON: Our crew continues their journey. A few of our guys are pictured here at GHOST RANCH. WIKIPEDIA TELLS US: "Ghost Ranch is a 21,000-acre retreat and education center located close to the village of Abiquiú in Rio Arriba County in north central New Mexico, United States. It was the home and studio of Georgia O'Keeffe, as well as the subject of many of her paintings. Ghost Ranch is also known for a remarkable concentration of fossils, most notably that of the theropod dinosaur Coelophysis, of which it has been estimated that nearly a thousand individuals have been preserved in a quarry at Ghost Ranch." Keep our guys in your ongoing prayers. ONWARD TROJANS!

JOURNEY TO THE GRAND CANYON: Coach Pugh sent the following photos showing the "Grand Canyon" crew on their journey as they stopped in Santa Fe, New Mexico. They are photographed at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi which was founded as a parish in 1714. The church itself was completed in 1887. Keep our brothers in your prayers.
